Drum Studio & Teaching Facility & Recording Set Up
I have been asked many times about the set up I use at home whilst recording drum video lessons as well as what I use when teaching drums on a private one to one basis...well, I use the same set up for both.
I have two electric drum kits that I use for teaching at home. My older electric drum kit is a Yamaha DTXPress III. It's set up for left handed pupils but is also the kit I tend to use the most when practicing being left footed and right handed. Confused? You're not the first to be. Anyway, that's another story...
My other electric drum kit is a Yamaha DTXPress IV Special and this is what I use to record my drum videos on. My right handed drum pupils also use this drum kit to learn on as it's more realistic than my other electric kit and has more cymbals. The Yamaha DTXPress IV Special kit has as it's main feature a realistic snare drum and realistic Hi-Hat mounted on an actual Hi-Hat stand. I find this feature pretty cool as you can probably imagine!
I though I'd show you around the drum studio at home with the following video...well, it's just a room in my house actually but I like to call it a studio. Makes it sound more important
If you're looking for private drum lessons and you happen to live in the South Of Hampshire then please visit my private teaching website at www.DrumAce.com for more details.
