Free Drum Lesson: "Jesus Of Suburbia" Plus Drum Solo (Green Day: Tre Cool)

The drum track that Tre Cool lays down on the nine minute epic, Jesus Of Suburbia by Green Day, is an adventure and master class in musical drumming. Tre creates multiple drum parts for each section of the song and changes his drum beats and drum fill choices to match the song perfectly.

Tre Cool has to be one of the coolest drummers around mixing energy with lots of goofy humour...he certainly tickles my funny bones. I love the way he puts so much energy into his cleverly constructed drum parts. He plays drum parts that aren't too difficult to learn but at the same time are still interesting and exciting to listen too and copy.

In this series of video drum lessons I wanted to teach you all of the major drum beats, grooves, fills and drum solo's that feature in the song, starting with "Part 1 - Jesus Of Suburbia" below.
