Drum Heroes?

OK peeps, spill the beans. Who's your favourite drummer or biggest influence? Difficult question I know as my choices change all the time.

When I was growing up my drumming heroes where Chad Smith, Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl...still are really!

At the moment I'm loving Gavin Harrison, Benny Greb, JoJo Mayer, Jost Nickel, Keith Carlock and Ronald Bruner Jnr. There's something really special about these guys and its not just their technique, it's their musical and rhythmic choices around the drums as well. Check them out if you've never heard of them...especially Gavin, Benny and Ronald!

Great list! That's healthy and eclectic mix you have there. Most of those are definitely in my top 50 as well.
