Hey Paul, I liked what you

Hey Paul,

I liked what you guys are doing and for a relatively new drummer you're very good!

Advice for someone like yourself would be to just keep it up. Practice as often as possible and work on the simple things such as your timing. Playing along to as many records/cd's as possible is a great way to improve your timing. I used to just put my favourite artists on and play through an entire album, whether I could play what the drummer was doing or not!

When you're playing in your band don't be tempted to play drum fills all the time. Keep a good groove and choose your moments carefully. A good simple drum fill played in the right place is just as satisfying as many average drum fills played in random places.

Of course, a good drum teacher can really help you get to the next level. They can show you things and ways to practice that you might not have even thought about.

If you have some specific questions you'd like to ask I'd be happy to help. I'm sure others reading this might like to offer their opinions too.

Great stuff Paul, keep it up mate!
