44 not too young at all. my son has left home for uni and i started playing his e kit which was virtually unused. had 11 drum sense lessons now and loving it. some guys at work need a drummer for their band and i hope to be up for it by the end of the summer. im playing at least 2 hours a day and im 50. youth is wasted on the young.
