Hi Rob,

I just wonder what is the software you are using to write your parts.

I've never found something that is faster than hand writting !

But your parts are so simple and nice that I think I've never found the same software.

Thanks for your answer ! And your job Wink

Regards.

Hi Rob, just curious, have you ever tried usin Cakewalk software for notation? It can write the score for you as you play as far as I know......(please bear in mind I'm a guitarist who's just started to learn drums) I've used it with a keyboard to do this n my cheapy cheap ion studio kit runs fine through it, so I would assume it can notate the drums too. Just a thought for ya........

Great site, thank you soooooo much for it! I've been lookin for summit exactly like this to get the basics from. You sir are a star. Be kool, peace out.

Hey,

Thanks so much for the compliments. I'm really pleased I was able to help you out!

I haven't tried using Cakewalk before. It doesn't really sound like something I would use very much but I'll certainly bear it in mind and keep an eye out for it. Most of my notation is done writing for stuff I haven't played yet and usually I have no problems working out the parts.

Thanks again for the compliments and the advice. Good luck with your drumming!

Rob

Hi Happy31, Thanks for your

Hi Happy31,

Thanks for your compliment and support!

I use Sibelius for writing out all my drum parts and charts. Once you get used to the short cuts it's far neater and even quicker (for longer scores) to use than write out by hand.

You can also use Finale (I prefer Sibelius). These two applications have full drum notation symbols (such as an "x" for the Hi-Hat) unlike a lot of other cheaper programs which do not cater for drum notation.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your musical endeavours.

Rob
