In fact, this drum fill/rudiment idea is often called the Cobham rudiment because Billy Cobham used to play it so much!

It's not officially a drum rudiment in it's own right but is used so often that it's given the un-official title of hybrid drum rudiment.

The basic sticking pattern is RLRL but the timing and rhythm is best explained by watching the video drum lesson below.
