My name's Rob, that's me in the rather cheesy photo to your right, and I'm a highly experienced musician and drum teacher living in the South of Hampshire, England.

I've been drumming for over 20 years now and started to play when I was just 9 years old. Even at this tender age I knew that drumming was something very special and immediately fell in love with the drums.

I now spend my time either teaching private drum lessons, playing in my band or working on new videos, drum lessons and articles for this website.

Drums The Word was created back in 2007 as a place for drummers of all ages and abilities to meet, discuss and learn the drums for free. It has since grown into a massive online community with 1000's of drummers visiting each week!
