In this free drum lesson, I want to teach you the outro drum beat to the song “Dig Down” by Muse with Dominic Howard on drums.

Dom finishes the song with a great outro drum beat featuring offbeat hi-hats, triplets, swung sixteenths and a solid sense of groove. Another reason that this groove feels so cool, but also makes it harder to play, is it’s slow tempo. At only 64 Bpm this can be a real challenge to play in time with a metronome.
