For this Free Video Drum Fill Lesson lets take a look at a classic drum fill from the song “Black Dog” by Led Zeppelin, featuring the great John Bonham on drums of course.

This drum fill demonstrates Bonham’s unique approach to drum fills. For this drum lick, Bonham uses a very interesting sticking that leads with the left hand but that allows the right hand the freedom to orchestrate and move around the drums. No other drummer would play this pattern like Bonham proving once more just how original Bonzo really was!
