In this new series of free video drum lessons, I want to focus on some of my favourite drum licks, fills, grooves and patterns.

Hopefully these video drum lessons will give you some inspiration in the practice room and will help you to get excited about playing drums.

In this video, I’ve taken a drum lick that I first heard Vinnie Colaiuta play first. It involves substituting the right hand within a RLL pattern with the bass drum foot. Very simple to understand and practice but tricky to play at “Vinnie” tempo! 🙂
