I explain a little of the history and differences between the two main stick grips in the world – the “Matched” grip and the “Traditional” grip. This video drum lesson teaches you how to use the Matched Grip as this is by the far the easiest to learn and master.

At the end of this video I also talk about various techniques used for striking the drums and cymbals whilst using this stick grip.
