In this free drum lesson, I want to teach you the main drum beats from the song “Interstate Love Song” by Stone Temple Pilots featuring Eric Kretz on drums.
I have the main three drum beats for you today taken from the main riff, verse and chorus. Each involves it’s own syncopated and highly dynamic groove. We have ghost notes, drags, open hi-hat and interesting bass drum placement galore!
For each drum beat I have also given you a simplified version so that the more beginner drummer can have a go as well. You can then simply add more notes over time based on your own level of skill.
