In this free drum lesson, I want to teach you the drums to the song “Hitchin’ A Ride” by Green Day featuring Tre Cool on drums.

The song features some of Tre Cool’s signature triplet licks and some very cool marching snare drum patterns. I show you how to play all the parts including the heavy tom sections.

As always, Tre throws in plenty of spice and crash cymbals and I do my best to talk about all of these parts, including how to simplify some of the parts as well.
