The drummer is Cozy Powell and if you’ve never heard of him before then you’re in for a real treat. The dude died way too young but, in his time alive, played some awesome drums. His rock and double bass drum playing blew minds!
The drum solo intro from this song features some of Cozy’s best ideas; powerful single strokes and lots of double bass drum ideas. Even if you don’t know the song, you should still enjoy this little piece of drumming magic.
