In this free video drum lesson, I want to show you how to play some of the drum beats from the song “Sound Of Muzak“.
The band is Porcupine Tree and their amazing drummer Gavin Harrison is one of my favourites of all time! He’s a truly incredible player.
The first drum beat occurs at the beginning of the song and consists of a two bar pattern. The first bar is wirtten in 3/4 and the second bar in 4/4. The next drum beat is for the chorus and is played in 4/4.
As a bonus, I’m also showing you how to play a version of the chorus Gavin plays live.
