In this free video drum lesson, I want to show you how to play the opening drum beat from the song “Bored To Death” by Blink 182, featuring the drumming of Travis Barker.

As usual, the difficulty in Travis’ parts is the tempo. Other than that, the drum beat just features a line of hand to hand sixteenth note ghost notes. It also has a cool drum and bass type groove where the end of each bar features a delayed bass and snare drum. Very cool and a lot of fun to play!
