In this free drum lesson, I want to teach you the drum intro from the song “The Prisoner” by Iron Maiden featuring Clive Burr on drums.
I’ve got a really groovy 16 bars for you today played by Iron Maiden’s original drummer, Clive Burr. It features some tasty bass drum action and some subtle ghost notes and drags.
One part is particularly impressive where Clive plays four bass drum notes in a row with one foot! I use double bass drum pedal for this, but any drummer that wants a REAL challenge should surely use just the one pedal!
