In this free video drum lesson, I want to show you how to play the drum beat that occurs in the song “Umbrella” by Rihanna.

I’m not the biggest fan of Rihanna, but I flippin’ LOVE the drum beat from this song. It sounds so syncopated and groovy! It will involve some fast hi-hat work with both hands and feet, but it’s very satisfying to play once you’ve got it. Have fun with this one!
