This is the kind of drum fill/lick that makes drummers turn their head in disbelief…but is surprisingly simple once you break it down. As always, a simple lick played cleanly and with precision always sounds great! The lick consists of two parts that Dave and other great drummers love to play; the “Fa-De-La-Dump”, as I like to call it, and the “Bonham Triplet”….mixed with some flams and we have ourselves a seriously tasty concoction.
