In this free video drum lesson, I want to show you how to play a really cool section from the song “When The Sun Goes Down” by the Arctic Monkeys, featuring the drumming of Matt Helder.
It’s super fast, but other than that there really isn’t much to this section…of course playing it up to speed is the challenge! It has a really fun turn around where the snare drum seems to be played out of place. As usual though, it’s the right hand doing all the work!
