In this free video drum lesson, I want to teach you the main drum parts from the song “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk, featuring the drumming of John Robinson.

This song was suggested by my Facebook followers over on my Facebook Page. The free PDF below is a “cheat sheet” containing just the most important and prominent beats from the song.

NOTE: The first drum groove at 2:21 that appears on the notation below was programmed on the recording. The notation shows you what you hear on the recording but can’t possibly be played by just one drummer. The next two examples, “Alternative Groove 1” and “Alternative Groove 2”, give you two different examples of what you could play live instead…one with double bass drum and the other with the disco hi-hat.
