In this free drum lesson, I want to teach you the main beats and drum fills from the song “Lido Shuffle” by Boz Scaggs featuring Jeff Porcaro on drums.

The song opens with a Jeff Porcaro shuffle drum beat special that he pretty much plays the same throughout the whole song. Featuring ghost notes and a shuffled bass drum pattern, it just sounds sooo good!

Later in the song we have some really cool band stab sections which I have transcribed. Then right at the end we have some wonderful feeling drum fills that might surprise you with their time signatures!
