Tre Cool lays down one of the most glorious drum tracks for this nine minute epic; Jesus Of Suburbia by Green Day. It’s an adventure and master class in musical drumming. Tre creates multiple drum parts for each section of the song and changes his drum beat and fill choices to match the song perfectly.
Tre Cool has to be one of the coolest drummers around, mixing energy with lots of goofy humour…he certainly tickles my funny bones. I love the way he puts so much energy into his cleverly constructed drum parts. He plays drum parts that aren’t too difficult to learn but at the same time are still interesting and exciting to listen to and copy.
This lesson is split into three video drum lessons. The first two videos were recorded a while ago now and teach you the first 1/4 of the song, including the drum solo. The third and final part below takes you through the rest of the song.
